A Volunteer gives of themselves by offering their time to SASCC in its goal to enrich the lives of older adults in our community. Volunteers are the lifeblood of SASCC. Without them, we cannot provide the broad range of programs and services we offer.
Volunteer Opportunities. . . give the gift of time, Volunteer to assist Senior Citizens. We are currently in need of the following specific volunteers (call Barbara at 868-1253 for more information or to volunteer):
- Temporary Computer Room Coaches. Need temporary coaches for the beginner classes, four weeks only, Mondays, 1 to 3 p.m. Call Maggi at 379-2594 if you can help.
- Special Events volunteers to help serve on special event committees. Call Teresa at 868-1263 or Barbara at 868-1253.
- Phone Callers to help us keep in touch with our members.
We ask volunteers to make ten phone calls each when we need them.
Please call 868-1253 to volunteer.
- Computer Helper to go to senior homes to help with miscellaneous computer tasks; i.e. set up computers, install programs, etc. Call Maggi at 379-2594 if you can help.
- Lunch Time Help for Wednesday lunches, from 11:30-1:30 p.m. We need table setters, servers, chef helpers, and clean up crew. We can also use "occasional volunteers."
- Finance Committee Volunteers to do special projects. Contact George Bunyard, CFO, at 255-3594.
- Video Person. Need someone to be trained (by TV station KSAR) to film our activities at the senior center.
- Substitute Receptionists for the front desk.
- Team To Clean inside the kitchen cupboards.
- Volunteers To Help with events.
- Techie to assist with computer operations.
On Call Assignments
- Maintain kitchen supplies
- Host special events
- Shop for office supplies as needed
- Assist with bulk mailings
- Care for patio and garden
- Clerical support
Regular Assignments
- Receptionist functions
- Clerical support
- Serve on Board of Directors
- Serve on Advisory Boards

- Assist in fundraising
