Lifelong learning, workforce readiness, and community impact — all in one program.

Senior Guided Pathways

Senior Guided Pathways (SGP) is the first-of-its-kind education-to-employment initiative created by SASCC in partnership with California’s community colleges and leaders in the senior services sector. It empowers adults 50+ to reskill or explore lifelong learning, while preparing a new generation of certified workers in aging services.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

 SGP addresses three core goals:

1. Support Economic and Lifestyle Continuity for Older Adults – Helping adults 50+ remain active in the workforce and community.
2. Bridge Workforce Gaps in Senior Services – Creating employer-informed certificate programs in caregiving, health navigation, and related fields.
3. Strengthen Community Colleges – Boosting enrollment and building sustainable pipelines in the 50+ demographic.

SGP is a scalable, age-inclusive model for how we learn, work, and age.
